A lot of good things have happened to me because of my fellowship to Caltech, so I wanted to make sure that other people had the same advantages. The reason I received a fellowship was because other people donated money to the Institute, so for me it’s a 'pay it back' kind of thing. It enables a lot of really important scientific activity, research, and learning. I’m always curious to see how Caltech is shaping the future in science and engineering.

Doing research at Caltech has been great because it made me realize there are ways to further my quality of life, scientific passions, and career. Because of my connections at Caltech, I can collaborate with top scientists and pursue research across my field.

One of my favorite things about being at Caltech is the scientific freedom and resources to pursue one's interests. There are so many resources available at Caltech that make my projects possible. It’s exciting to be part of something bigger, and make better predictions about the future.

- Physics and Aerospace Engineering
Tanmay Gupta, BS '24
As an undergraduate student, it's hard to get access to the kind of cutting-edge aerospace industry work that Caltech does in collaboration with the NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory. That was one of the biggest reasons I wanted to come to Caltech. I've been part of a NASA team through one of the Artemis missions to develop lunar dust mitigation technology. I can access these opportunities thanks to my scholarship.

Caltech was the best choice for our children. Our daughter and son were very happy with their Caltech experience. Because of the small community at Caltech, and the compactness, it feels like a family. For the parents, it’s the same. We have a lot of close connections with the parents of other students.

At Caltech, the most exciting part of my research is the people I have met here. I am deeply grateful for the opportunities that I have had, and I hope that people like me will continue to get opportunities in the future.
